      (Crochet, Rag, Hooked, etc.)
 
Note--Above size maximums include matting and frame.
 
Note--All pieces entered must be the handwork of the exhibitor and finished within the past two years.  Items entered in previous IAHCE shows are not eligible. 
However, you may have shown it in the county fair or state fair and still enter it.
 
Note--NO KITS
 
Cultural Enrichment Day is October 20, 2012  for Champaign County HCE
 
Person may enter more than one category.
Person may enter more than one item in each category.
Only Champaign Co. HCE members will be eleigible to go on to the State IAHCE contest in March 2013.
 
 
Bra Decorating Competition--Money raised goes to CU Autism Network
Categories are:
1.  Best Use of Fruits
2.  Best Use of Vegetables
3.  Best Use of Flowers
4.  Best Use of Current Slogan,"A Garden of Volunteers"

October 20, 2012 Sewing with 4-H er's to make stockings for Soldiers, and hats and scarves for children.  9:00 to 3:00 Extension Auditorium. Items you can donate to stuff stockings is due by October 20.  See Chatter for list of items. 

 

 

October 22, 2012  County HCE Cultural Enrichment Day; Extension Auditorium

9:30 -10:00 Register projects and sign in

10:00 Pledge of Allegiance and Homemakers' Aim

10:00-11:00 Judging of projects to be sent to IAHCE State Conference--see side column for categories and restrictions.

and Judging of bras in the Decorated Bra Contest--see side for categories

(Voting on decorated bras will be by coins and dollars. (25 votes for a quarter or 100 votes for $1.00)   Money will be donated to Autism Awareness.)

11:00-11:45 "How to Pack a Suitcase" talk given by Jean McCormick

Noon:  Potluck Lunch --bring a dish to share and your own table service.  Drinks will be provided.

1:00-1:45 Dr. Karen Eisminger, a Carle Physician, will talk about Autism and about her two children with Autism.

1:45 Announcements--winning projects going to IAHCE state conference

9:30 Talk and Demonstration on Edible Arrangements by Leia Weston (Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator.)

Free lunch will be served.  Door prizes.
